Dr John Molloy

We welcome Dr John Molloy to the clinic at both Sutherland Sports Injury Clinic and Hurstville Orthosports. He will be consulting on a Tuesday morning at Hurstville and a Friday afternoon at Sutherland.

He is a senior trainee of the Australasian College of sports Physicians. He is a New Zealand graduate of the University of Otago.

Prior to joining our program he was an Army Doctor at Burnham Military Camp in Christchurch and deployed to Afghanistan in 2011. He was the Canterbury ITM Cup rugby team doctor from 2012-2014 and will be working as the club doctor for Easts Rugby Union Club. As a Kiwi he takes a great interest in Rugby Union!

His personal interests include marathon running and Ironman Triathlon. He is currently training with the ‘Bushies’ down in the Sutherland Shire and will run the Port Macquarrie Ironman later in the year.

As with Sophie Armstrong last year, John will work under my direct supervision. He can be seen directly without a GP referral without affecting his Medicare rebates.

My dealings with John to date have demonstrated him to be a pleasant, knowledgeable and professional sports doctor.  I hope he will provide another alternative in the Southern part of Sydney for the management of your Sports Medicine patients.
